Effects in Encoders

Post by LinguoISdead » Wed Jul 26, 2017 10:36 pm

Hi All,
First off I just want to say how great oscRFR is to have on set. Being able to walk around with the DP or gaffer and tweak right next to them makes me a hero.

The other day I was doing a fluorescent flicker effect and couldn't find a way to easily make adjustments with my tablet. Is there any way access the RATE and SIZE parameters on the encoder page? Does anyone have any tricks to adjusting effects they could share?
Thanks!

EOS doesn't send us that information via OSC.

Work arounds are tough. You can make Macros like "Rate 200 Enter" that could help a little - but "Rate +%" throws an error so it's difficult to mimic the encoder via a macro

With the newer versions of EOS, effect Rate & Size work on the Playback Faders with OSCrfr once setup in the Fader Config page.
