Faders do not reset to 0%

Hi there, really enjoying the app so far. Just a small issue here.

Paging up and down through fader pages on the playback section works fine. However if I jump to a selected page then faders will not go to 0%, they will stay where they are. Then they have to be graded back to 0%, which briefly activates them. If the fader has a value above 0% on the new page then it will move to the correct position.

Is this how it's meant to work or am I doing something wrong?

Thanks!
Hamish

Sounds like a bug. There have been some changes in the way EOS sends some of this data and how we handle it.

Which version of the App are you using ? iOS vs Android

What version of EOS are you using?

Thanks,

Patrick

Hi, thanks for the quick reply.

EOS version is 2.5.2 (on Nomad). The app is Android v1.4.1.

I don't have an Android device with me today - but I'll look at it tomorrow.

Hamish,

This is currently a limitation from the Eos side. I have reported it and hopefully it won't take too long to get fixed. When we jump pages in the fader bank we actually have to reconfigure it which doesn't care what the current fader positions are. When changing individual pages the /page/ command makes the console retransmit all fader levels for the next page.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention so we can work on getting it fixed!

So for now the best workaround would be to jump to a particular fader page and then next/last the fader page.

This would re-transmit the levels without you having to physically move the faders.

Andrew - If we did a similar procedure from the App - basically spoof EOS into telling us the fader levels - could we do it fast enough that our UI wouldn't even register the change? Just a thought.
